My Music
| This is for the people who question on what program I use and how I upload it to dA. If you're looking for my recording technique, it's in a different box. :3 Ok, I use a program called "Audacity" [link] you'll see something that says.... Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/Vista: Audacity 1.2.6 installer (.exe file, 2.1 MB) - The latest version of the free Audacity audio editor. Click the link that stands out and download it. :3 Then, get the addon download that says LAME MP3 encoder - Allows Audacity to export MP3 files. Download that one... :3 you can export your saved files on Audacity as mp3's to upload onto dA (.wav's also work... but that takes foreverrrr.. which is what "I" have been doing ~3~ ... but now I'll be uploading them as mp3's) now, when you upload onto dA, make sure to have a pic drawn/chosen that says "download" so people know to download. xD better yet, have it say "download for music". :3 ... You'll figure out when you start to submit it on what you have to do. The proper category is... Mixed Media, Other, Digital or Traditional work... It doesn't matter. x3 quick note, the first time you have to export as an mp3, you have to find the LAME file or w/e... make sure you remember where it is. I have the microphone sensitivity (or w/e) on Audacity set to "0.1"... It's the best, in my opinion, because it gives the least amount of static. And that's it, best of luck with uploading music :3 |
Recording Technique
| This is my recording technique, as well as a bit of my equipment. The model of guitar I use is an Ibanez. I also recommend and prefer Ibanez guitars. "Ibanez grx20" It's a beginner/intermediate guitar... But is one of the BEST guitar's I have EVER played (for it being a beginner/intermediate guitar). It's reviews are HIGH. It's an extraordinary guitar, and I definitely recommend anyone to get this guitar. I'm lucky I found it at that pawn shop and got it as my first guitar. I have an effects pedal called an "RP200". It's a digital effects processor. I believe you can buy the unit (the pedal) for about 40-60 dollars and then you can buy the plug in for about 10-15 dollars. Or buy them both together, but I think it costs a lot more together instead of separately. Around 80-100+? Idk. The model is discontinued as far as I'm aware of. On the back, there's the standard input and output (input: runs from guitar to pedal; output: runs from pedal to amp to process the sounds). Then, there are two other little jacks (They're basically headphone jacks, as in, they have the same plug-in as a headphone plug-in, except each one has a unique purpose) that are called "jam along" and "headphones". The jam along one is for me to use a two-way line-in cord for an mp3 player (I plug one part into my ipod and the other part into the "jam along" It can also work for an mp3 of any sort. Even a cd player if it has a headphone plug-in on it.) and play along with the music as it plays. The headphone one is for.. well, you can guess. I plug some headphones in, and I can hear me play without having to listen through an amplifier. Anyywayyy, I use the "headphones" plug in on the back. I have a two-way line-in cord... I plug one part into the "headphones" and one into the microphone input on my laptop. :3 I record straight into my laptop. That's why it sounds as clean as it does. But I also have to change the microphone sound settings on my laptop so that I can hear the guitar through my laptop (lol, I can use it like an amplifier) I have the microphone sensitivity (or w/e) on Audacity set to "0.1"... It's the best, in my opinion, because it gives the least amount of static. If there are any questions that can't be answered here, please let me know :3. |
